SHINGLEROOFING

The Rancho San Diego version of this job

The job list in Rancho San Diego repeats itself for a reason - inland heat and seasonal wind are the two things that end a roof early. The shop is about 131 miles southeast, which is why we can be out the same day.

El Cajon, Spring Valley and Jamul are on the same route, which keeps follow-ups easy.

• Skylights are re-flashed as part of the job rather than quoted as an extra later.
• Tear-off debris leaves the same day; nobody is left with a pile over the weekend.
• Permits and inspections run through the local building department, and we pull them rather than leaving it to you.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted where they block a proper drip edge.
• Solar gets detached and reset by a licensed crew, not improvised around.

A roof opened in October is a different job from one opened in January. The first step is a free look at the Rancho San Diego roof and a number you can hold us to.

Details that decide a Rancho San Diego roof

You get the manufacturer warranty on the materials and ours on the workmanship, both in writing.

• If the attic has no real intake, we fix that rather than leaving a new roof to bake.
• Fascia and rafter tails get checked while the edge is open.
• Edges are fastened to spec because that is where uplift starts.
• We check the attic as well as the roof; half of what we find shows from underneath.

A roofer's read on Rancho San Diego

The short version for Rancho San Diego: dry heat shrinks sealants until the details let go. The shop is about 131 miles southeast, which is why we can be out the same day.

You will see our trucks in El Cajon, Spring Valley and Jamul on the same run.

• Gutters are pulled and refitted properly instead of being crushed by a ladder.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted where they block a proper drip edge.
• We protect landscaping and the pool before a single bundle comes off the truck.
• Satellite dishes and A/C line sets are re-flashed, not just set back down.
• Solar panels get detached and reset on a schedule that matches the roofing crew.

We would rather find the problem in the dry months and fix it on a schedule. No pressure, no same-day-only discount, no hard close.

Our habits on site

Ridge venting goes in where the roof line allows it, with proper intake at the eaves.

• Drip edge and starter course get installed properly - that is half the wind resistance.
• Payment is tied to progress, not demanded up front.
• Fascia and rafter tails get checked while the edge is open.
• Change orders are discussed before anything is done, not billed afterwards.
