SHINGLEROOFING

What we see on Moorpark roofs

Roofs in Moorpark do not wear out the way a brochure says they do, and the grade means water moves fast and finds every lazy flashing detail. 40 miles northwest means a crew, a ladder and a tarp can be there this afternoon.

We work the same streets in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, so crews know the area and its roofs.

• Where an HOA sets colour or material rules, we match the approved list before the job is quoted.
• Material is delivered the morning of the job, not left on the driveway for a week.
• Skylights are flashed new rather than reused, because that is where the next leak starts.
• We work around tenants and business hours where the building is occupied.
• We photograph every penetration before and after, so the file shows the work.

We would rather be on your roof in September than during the first atmospheric river. You get photos, measurements and a plain explanation before any work is booked.

Details that decide a Moorpark roof

Ice-and-water goes in at the valleys and penetrations even though it rarely freezes here.

• Drip edge and starter course get installed properly - that is half the wind resistance.
• Change orders are discussed before anything is done, not billed afterwards.
• You get the manufacturer warranty on the materials and ours on the workmanship, both in writing.
• You get a start date and a finish date in writing, and we hold them.

Moorpark, up close

Across Ventura County, Moorpark has its own wear pattern, because gusts funnel down the canyons and lift anything not fastened right. We are roughly 40 miles northwest of Moorpark, close enough for a same-day look at a leak.

We work the same streets in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, so crews know the area and its roofs.

• Dry-in happens the same day the old roof comes off; nothing sits open overnight.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted where they block a proper drip edge.
• Solar gets detached and reset by a licensed crew, not improvised around.
• Satellite dishes and A/C line sets are re-flashed, not just set back down.
• Tile is sorted and reused where it is sound, which keeps the roof looking original.

We would rather find the problem in the dry months and fix it on a schedule. Expect photos, a measured scope and a number you can compare against anyone else.

Our habits on site

We photograph every slope and penetration so you see what we see before deciding anything.

• Keep the paperwork: it transfers if you sell the house.
• The quote lists materials and labour separately so you can see what you are buying.
• Any rot found under the old layers is swapped before anything new goes down.
• Nothing is left on the lawn overnight, and the dumpster goes when the job ends.
