METALROOFING

Conditions we plan for in Hayes Valley

Before materials come into it, the site decides the job: in Hayes Valley, onshore wind drives rain sideways into the flashings. From the shop it is a 337-mile run northwest to Hayes Valley, so emergencies get a same-day answer.

SoMa, Western Addition and Castro are on the same route, which keeps follow-ups easy.

• We work around tenants and business hours where the building is occupied.
• Material is delivered the morning of the job, not left on the driveway for a week.
• Tile is sorted and reused where it is sound, which keeps the roof looking original.
• Skylights are flashed new rather than reused, because that is where the next leak starts.
• Solar panels get detached and reset on a schedule that matches the roofing crew.

Leaks found in summer cost a fraction of the same leak found in February. Call and we will look at the Hayes Valley roof, show you photos, and put the price in writing.

Before, during and after

You get a text when the crew is coming and a walk-through when they are done.

• Driveways get swept and gutters cleared as part of the job, not as an extra.
• Soft decking gets replaced, not covered - we quote a sheet count and show you the bad bays.
• Rake and eave metal is new on every job; reusing bent metal is false economy.
• Most homes take two to four days once material lands.

What changes on a Hayes Valley roof

We work on Hayes Valley roofs most weeks, and the pattern is consistent: the weather here punishes details, not products. Hayes Valley is around 337 miles northwest of the shop, which keeps scheduling simple.

You will see our trucks in SoMa, Western Addition and Castro on the same run.

• Magnet sweeps run morning and evening, which matters on a street with kids and bare feet.
• Tear-off debris leaves the same day; nobody is left with a pile over the weekend.
• Solar gets detached and reset by a licensed crew, not improvised around.
• Tile is sorted and reused where it is sound, which keeps the roof looking original.
• Chimney and wall flashings are replaced, not painted over with sealant.

Insurance work moves faster when the damage is documented before the next storm. No pressure, no same-day-only discount, no hard close.

Standards we hold on every Hayes Valley job

Workmanship coverage is ours to honour, and we are still here to honour it.

• You get a text when the crew is coming and a walk-through when they are done.
• Ice-and-water goes in at the valleys and penetrations even though it rarely freezes here.
• Financing exists if you want it, and nobody pushes it on you.
• Drip edge and starter course get installed properly - that is half the wind resistance.
