SHINGLEROOFING

Beverly Hills, up close

Nobody roofs Beverly Hills the way they roof a tract in the desert, and dry heat shrinks sealants until the details let go. 9 miles west means a free inspection costs you nothing but an hour.

We are in West Hollywood, West Los Angeles and Culver City constantly, and the housing stock is much the same.

• Tile is sorted and reused where it is sound, which keeps the roof looking original.
• Skylights are re-flashed as part of the job rather than quoted as an extra later.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted where they block a proper drip edge.
• Material is delivered the morning of the job, not left on the driveway for a week.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted properly instead of being crushed by a ladder.

We would rather be on your roof in September than during the first atmospheric river. We will tell you if the Beverly Hills roof has years left in it rather than sell you a new one.

What the work looks like in Beverly Hills

The site is cleaned daily, and the last magnet pass happens before the crew leaves.

• Ridge venting goes in where the roof line allows it, with proper intake at the eaves.
• Underlayment is where corners get cut; we use the system the manufacturer warrants.
• Keep the paperwork: it transfers if you sell the house.
• Drip edge and starter course get installed properly - that is half the wind resistance.

Notes from Beverly Hills jobs

Roofs in Beverly Hills do not wear out the way a brochure says they do, and the wind arrives dry and loaded with grit that scours the surface. We are roughly 9 miles west of Beverly Hills, close enough for a same-day look at a leak.

Neighbouring work in West Hollywood, West Los Angeles and Culver City means materials are already staged nearby.

• Solar gets detached and reset by a licensed crew, not improvised around.
• Tile is sorted and reused where it is sound, which keeps the roof looking original.
• Gutters are pulled and refitted properly instead of being crushed by a ladder.
• Chimney and wall flashings are replaced, not painted over with sealant.
• Permits and inspections run through the local building department, and we pull them rather than leaving it to you.

Book in the dry months and the whole job happens on dry decking. Nothing is booked until you have photos, a scope and a written price.

Before, during and after

Rake and eave metal is new on every job; reusing bent metal is false economy.

• Ice-and-water goes in at the valleys and penetrations even though it rarely freezes here.
• Moisture readings go in the report where a leak is suspected but not obvious.
• You get a text when the crew is coming and a walk-through when they are done.
• Ventilation gets looked at while the roof is open; most Beverly Hills attics run hotter than they should.
